Natural dendritic quartz cube

Dendritic quartz is a separate branch of the quartz inclusion family tree.
This beautiful variety of quartz contains fern-like inclusions of iron, manganese, haematite and other metal oxides that grow in fractal patterns.
The word ‘dendrite’ derives from the Greek word ‘dendron’, meaning ‘tree’. Quartz is typically colourless, featuring tree-like inclusions ranging from black, brown and yellow to red, depicting small natural scenes.
